A Pastoral Note
Life groups are not merely some program at NewCommunity, they are NewCommunity.
Life transformation is our focus, nothing less. And transformed lives, becoming
more like Jesus and continuing his minnistry, best happens in relationships
with a few committed friends. These groups encourage:
- Worship
- Care
- Growth
- Encouragement
|
- Accountability
- Ministry
- Outreach
|
You can also enjoy the care of committed pastors. Almost all of the pastoral
care in our church happens in our Life Groups.
Futher, Life Groups are fun! Each Group has a different emphasis, such as
worship, teaching, discussion, prayer, spiritual gifts, outreach, food and
friendships... The atmosphere is always non-threatening so that people can
comfortably visit and bring our friends. Most groups casually meet for about
one and a half hours weekly in homes.
I personally urge you to participate in a Life Group, as Karen and I do,
and enjoy becoming the new you!

fellowship, sharing in the Lord's supper and in prayer." (Acts 2:42)
"And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything they had." (Acts 2:44)
"They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and
shared their meals with great joy and generosity - all the while praising God and enjoying
the goodwill of all the people." (Acts 2:46-47)
