Dave & Michele Turner - Lead Pastor/Assistant Pastor
David and Michele Turner will have been married 5 years in October. They met at NewCommunity while attending Life Pacific
College where they both earned a degree in Biblical Studies. David went on to earn a Masters degree in Religion from Azusa Pacific University.
David has been with NewCommunity since 1997 and has served on staff in various roles since 2001. Both David and Michele sense God leading
them to pastor in the greater Los Angeles area. Their personal goal is to fall more and more in love with Jesus and with each other. On
August 27, 2006 God blessed them with a son, John David, whom they adore.
David and Michele have a passion to see people living to their fullest potential. They believe that encountering God's deep
love through worship paves the way for healing and freedom. They believe that wisdom from God's Word unlocks the blessing for finances, work,
relationships, and more. They believe that every person has value and purpose and that in Christ we find who we are. They believe that the
greatest fulfillment in life is found in knowing Christ and partnering with his kingdom through the power of the Spirit. They feel a particular
burden to see a bridge built between the church and the community so that God's truth and love can be manifested in their cities. They genuinely
want to serve families, schools, businesses, and more so they can flourish. They want those who are distant from God to know they matter to God
and discover the power of living according to Biblical values. They are also burdened to see justice for those who are oppressed and believe that
the church is the hope for transformation in the world.
