Tom & Debbie Ward - Assistant Pastors
Tom and Debbie were both born into Foursquare churches.
Debbie grew up at Florence Avenue Foursquare in Santa Fe Springs, CA. She asked Jesus into her heart at age 7 and was baptized in the power of the Holy Spirit at age 16. Responding to the call to minister she attended LIFE Bible College and earned her BA degree in 1987.
Tom, a Foursquare pastor's son, became a Christian and was baptized in the Holy Spirit at a young age. He has always had a prophetic gifting and a love for Jesus and sports.
They were married in 1990 and continued to lead in various ministries at Walnut Foursquare Church. In 1998, they became involved at NewCommunity. They loved the warmth of the people, the worship celebration and the wealth of teaching. They once again became excited to serve others!
Currently, Tom serves as the celebration coordinator. He works as a library services film technician for 20th Century Fox Studios. Debbie came on staff in 2001 as an assistant pastor and is thrilled to see God move in the lives of people. She coordinates NewCommunity's children's ministry, called Kid's World, in addition to the women's ministry. She is also the office manager for the church.
Both Tom and Debbie love to see people grow and become transformed into the image of Jesus as they grow closer to him. They look forward to the exciting things God continues to bring their way!
